TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITION
Whether the signs are at the side of the road or above it, permanent or temporary, Traffic Sign Recognition can identify them. An icon of that speed or a no-overtaking sign appears on the Transit Connect Van instrument cluster and changes every time it detects you entering a new limit.
ACTIVE PARK ASSIST
Active Park Assist can steer you into parallel or perpendicular parking spaces. Simply push a button and the sensors of this innovative system locate a suitable space as you drive past. Then it automatically steers in your Transit Connect Van. All you do is operate the accelerator, gears and brake (following on-screen instructions and audible signals). It will pull out of parallel spaces as well.
SYNC 3
Ford SYNC 3 is an advanced system that enables you to stay connected and control your phone, music and navigation system. Choose either voice commands or the 8” colour touchscreen with pinch-and-swipe gestures for intuitive navigation. Live Traffic can help you avoid the jams. You can even call up a list of local restaurants simply by saying “I’m hungry”.
PRE-COLLISION ASSIST
Pre-Collision Assist detects vehicles and pedestrians in the road ahead, or who could cross your van’s path, and warns you of their presence. If you don’t respond, the system automatically applies the brakes. This technology is designed to help reduce the severity of accidents, or help avoid them altogether, and functions at speeds of up to 80km/h (50 mph).
